Ancud Travel Guide
Chile
Ancud is a small city of around 28,020 people in southern Chile, on the island of Chiloé. Its position gives it a cool, maritime setting on the island’s northern coast.
Travellers arriving by air use Ancud Airport (ZUD). The coastline is close to the city, although there are no notable named beaches within 40 kilometres, so Ancud is better treated as a coastal base than a destination for a cluster of named beaches.

Tipping: Tipping is customary in Chile for good service. While not legally required, it is widely practiced, especially in the service industry. Bills in restaurants may already include "propina", but it is optional and can be adjusted.
