Regional risks

• The advisory on regional tensions has been updated: Iran has carried out further attacks on Jordan since the memorandum of understanding was agreed.
• Previous language about attacks 'could resume' has been replaced with a more specific warning that attacks 'could do so again' based on these new incidents.

Safety

• The period of high drone and missile strikes now includes April, May and June 2026 (previously March and April).
• Civilian casualty numbers are now given, with May and June 2026 seeing over 2,000 casualties each, the highest since April 2022.

Travel disruption

• The entire section on travel disruption for the NATO Summit in Ankara from 7-8 July has been removed.
• Specific road closures, public transport impacts, and airspace restrictions around Ankara Esenboga Airport are no longer listed.

Regional risks

• There is a wildfire in Los Gallardos, Almeria.
• If you are in the area, follow instructions from local authorities, avoid the affected area, and call 112 for emergencies.

Border procedures

• On the southern border with Peru, Macará, Zapotillo, and Lalamor checkpoints are now open to international travellers alongside Huaquillas.
• Only Rumichaca on the northern Colombia border is listed as open, with no mention of a specific closure date.

Safety

• The new section 'Festivals, concerts and cultural events' advises you to follow police advice and take care of valuables at large events.
• Advice for swimming at beaches now specifically says to keep small children within arms-reach and get local knowledge if there are no lifeguards or flags.

Crime

• Advice for drink spiking now specifically mentions being alert to the use of 'date rape' and other drugs including GHB and liquid ecstasy.
• Advice now suggests you look after your passport, money and personal belongings when travelling, checking in luggage at the airport, or arranging car hire.

Visa requirements

• Tourist Visas (T visas) can no longer be extended in Tajikistan; you must leave the country before your visa expires.
• Most other visa categories can now be extended at the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Entry requirements for minors

• New requirement: Travellers entering Mozambique with a child under 18 must now present an unabridged birth certificate listing both parents.
• Additional requirement: If the child is travelling with only one parent or without either parent, a notarised parental consent affidavit (not older than three months) is required.

Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders

• Electronic Overseas Citizen of India (e-OCI) cards were launched in June 2026 and holders need not carry a physical copy of the card.
• More information on e-OCI is now available at Online OCI Services, replacing the previous reference to the High Commission and Bureau of Immigration.

Health

• All international passengers arriving in India must now complete a mandatory Self-Declaration Form up to 24 hours before arrival through the Air Suvidha Portal.
• Passengers who do not complete the Self-Declaration Form before arrival should expect delays.

• Iran has carried out further attacks on Kuwait since the ceasefire MOU was agreed, and could do so again at short notice.
