Shanghai Travel Guide
China
Shanghai is a major Chinese city with a population of 29,210,808, on the country’s eastern coast. It is one of China’s largest urban centres and an important base for travel in the region.
Most visitors arrive by air through Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) or Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA). There are no notable beaches within 40 kilometres of the city, so a beach visit is not a central part of a short Shanghai stay.
