Windhoek Travel Guide
Namibia
Windhoek is Namibia’s inland capital and largest city, with a population of about 477,000. It sits in the country’s central highlands and is the main urban base for exploring Namibia.
The city is served by Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) and Eros Airport (ERS). Windhoek is not a coastal destination, and there are no notable named beaches within 40 kilometres, so beach trips require travelling much farther afield.
