Vorkuta Travel Guide
Russia
Vorkuta is a Russian city of around 80,000 people in the country’s far north. It uses Moscow Time and has an Arctic climate, with long, very cold winters and short, cool summers.
Most air travellers arrive through Vorkuta Airport, the city’s listed airport. There are no notable named beaches within 40 kilometres, so Vorkuta is not a beach destination and trips here are better planned around the city and its northern setting.
