Matsu Travel Guide
Taiwan
Matsu is a small Taiwanese settlement with a population of 2,368, located in the Matsu Islands off Taiwan’s north-western coast. It uses Taiwan time and has a remote island setting close to the coast of mainland China.
Most visitors arriving by air use Matsu Beigan Airport. There are no named notable beaches within 40 kilometres, so the coastline is better approached as part of the islands’ wider coastal scenery rather than as a beach destination.
