Sinop Travel Guide
Turkey
Sinop is a small city of 34,834 people on Turkey’s Black Sea coast. Its setting gives it a maritime character, with a generally mild, changeable coastal climate and cooler, wetter conditions than much of southern Turkey.
Most visitors arriving by air use Sinop Airport (NOP), the airport serving the city. There are no notable named beaches within 40 kilometres, so Sinop is better approached as a coastal city break than as a destination centred on nearby beaches.
