British citizens do not need a visa for visits of up to 90 days within any 180-day period, a rule valid until 30 January 2027.

Your passport must be valid for the proposed duration of your stay if you are entering without a visa.

At the border, you must be prepared to complete an immigration card and scan your fingerprints if requested.

You must have evidence of sufficient funds, which can be shown with cash, bank cards, accommodation bookings, tourist vouchers, a sponsor's letter, or return tickets.

If you overstay the 90-day allowance, you will be fined and may not be able to return to Ukraine for 90 days after leaving.

You must declare any items that may be prohibited or subject to tax or duty, including antiques.

Non-residents can bring a vehicle for personal use into Ukraine for up to one year, provided it is not used commercially, dismantled, sold, rented, or used to travel through the country.

Avoid all travel to Crimea, most regions, and the listed 50km Belarus border zones.

If an air-raid alert sounds, take shelter immediately and follow local officials’ instructions.

Carry your passport at all times as police may ask for identification.

Keep drinks and food with you; do not accept drinks from casual acquaintances.

Keep valuables secure, especially in vehicles, and never leave documents or money inside.

Do not smoke or drink alcohol in public places, including parks and public transport.

Use official taxis and watch your card closely at ATMs to avoid overcharging or cloning.
